GM Considering Selling Hummer To China
When the Hummer was first introduced consumers fell in love with it at once despite its bulky design and the amount it needed to fill it up with gas. Now however consumers have a different point of view on it and are starting to forget the love they once had for it and are trying desperately to get rid of it. Those who never got the opportunity to purchase one before no longer want to have one.
Hummer sales are down and because of this GM is talking about selling the brand in order to make some sort of profit and to keep them from suffering anymore. The first person on their list seems to be China – at least that is what we are being told.
Fritz Henderson from GM stated that they are talking to any Chinese company that is interested in purchasing the division. It is so easy for them to get rid of this brand because there is no significant background or history that it is a part of. If China buys then they might find themselves better able to sell cars in the U.S. market.
